Another sunny day. I saw a Painted Lady in the front garden and photographed this female Common Blue on the Lavender.

hi linda!
I was shocked, getting the news of your sickness. I hope intensivly you will recover soon and wish you much strength! From time to time I visit your homepage and calm down a bit when I find allready new records of you again.
Here in the western part of Germany the Common Blue was pretty uncommon at springtime this year. Meanwhile, by the second generation it became more widespread again. Last week I met 15 male Blues together on one spot drinking. That reminded me allready on tropical impressions. But I saw them too late, disturbed them and missed a nice foto.
By this, some 10 days ago a Peacock Butterfly fled the heat, entering calmly and carefully the livingroom, changed to the kitchen and flew down to the kitchentable were it spend exactly 22 lazy minutes without any move. (during that time no kitchenwork was possible which I didn't really worry about). I opend the kitchendoor to the garden then and without any haste it moved back to the buddleya-blossoms.
I wish you the best, Linda and lets look forward allready to a new rich butterfly year 2005!
Rainer
