Recently I was watching a gardening programme on TV and the presenter reminded viewers to trim back young Buddleia plants about now. Buddleias are normally pruned in March but I would usually tidy the plants a bit at this time of year too.

I'm currently on a break from hospital where I've just completed the 3rd round of chemotherapy to treat leukaemia; I return in a few days for the 4th round. My garden has been left to grow wild in my absence. Some of my Buddleias are in need of a trim but I am not gardening.

Hi Linda, Pleased to see you are home, even if it's only a few days. I hope your treatment is going very well, and good luck with the next lot. I hope you are feeling reasonably well. I thought I would just let you know I saw 2 cabbage whites, and a Humming-bird Hawk moth in my garden yesterday. All three were on Verbena bonasiensis, I also ought to point out that I live in Kent. All the best Liz

Hi Linda - I attended a course in Hartbury College with you a couple of years ago (big blue bus) and was looking at your site today. Just wanted to wish you all the best for the future! Louis.
